Aren’t maxi dresses the perfect item for brunch? Maybe it’s because they take the guess work out of weekend morning dressing. Maybe it’s because they are easy to layer. Whatever the reason, they make for the perfect brunch piece. Confession: I spent the last several years searching for the perfect maxi dress for me. Yes, years. I wanted a maxi with a great print that was flattering, could be warn all the way through fall with a few added layers, worked in several different color palettes, and most importantly had a higher waist line (There are some great options here, here, and here). So many maxi dresses cut girls at the hips, and to add insult to injury, have drawstrings attached. I much prefer accentuating my waist since I’m a shorter curvier kind of gal ???? .
