It’s easy to focus on the main indulgent desserts that apples can create during the Fall months, and especially with Thanksgiving right around the corner. But let’s put a pin in that idea at least til next week’s post, and try something a bit more on the healthy side like this recipe. Think of it as prep for the massive eats your mom’s about to serve next week. Apples add a great crunch to any salad, and an apple spiced dressing makes each bite a mouthful of Fall. Almonds or walnuts add a touch of “superfood” and even more crunch. I personally, love the bits of tartness that the cranberries provide. In any case, this makes a great first course for your Thanksgiving meal, or even a good meal on it’s own for the days of turkey-coma-induced recovery afterward.
