I’ve done a couple of posts on some great fried chicken in Atlanta. While all great, they’ve all been served in some higher-end, big city type places. But I for one don’t really want to always put on airs when I want to eat fried chicken. Bantam + Biddy has become a family friendly chain around the Atlanta area that has the perfect feel for eating southern comfort food. It’s high-end eats in a relaxes and contemporary atmosphere. And oh boy are the eats good. I love any place that serves boiled peanuts as an appetizer. One menu item that I completely forgot to get pics of was their famed chicken and cheddar waffles. So you’ll have to go and try it out sight unseen.
Southern Stew
Brunswick Stew is a bit of a controversial menu item in the south. Just about every state claims it originated in their borders and that their version is the best. Well Georgia is no exception. Brunswick Stew is really Georgia’s best version of barbecue no matter whether it’s with pork, beef, or even (gulp!) rabbit. This being Bantam + Biddy, theirs is made with their delicious free-range chicken. It’s a great spin on a hometown favorite

Chick-a-Biddy
Now if you call your restaurant a chicken rotisserie, you’d better have some damn good fried chicken to serve up. Bantam + Biddy’s is amazing whether you get it fried, roasted, or any other way that you might like. Their chicken is juicy and so frickin good with any of their five sauces. I tend to alternate between getting the fried chicken and the roasted chicken. Either way, I always leave happy.
