I feel like it’s been forever since I featured a maxi anything on the blog.  Now, I’d like to take credit for finding this maxi, but really, it found me.  There I was, perusing the racks at one of my local JCrews, when I came across a blue gingham maxi dress!  No, I thought, I’m sure they don’t have my size in store.  Okay they do have my size but I’m sure this dress won’t fit me right and I’d have to alter it a bunch to fit me right.  Oh crap!  This thing is absolutely perfect!  Well I can’t walk away from an absolutely perfect gingham maxi dress.  I’m only human.  Is there anything more quintessentially summer than gingham, a pineapple fountain, and a boardwalk?  If there is, I’m not aware of it.  In all honesty, this is a very simple dress.  No frills, no ruffles, but it does have pockets!  And yet the full skirt has so much fabric that it keeps it from being a simple day dress and makes it something that you can easily wear to a fancier summer wedding or event.  In short, it just makes you feel pretty.
