I had been dying to see the new Iris Van Herpen exhibit at the High Museum of Art when my friend Victoria reminded me that we had a membership to all of their exhibits. So we hopped on down to Midtown and spent a couple of hours walking through all 4 floors of this crazy cool exhibit. Since words just can’t do any justice to the amazing textiles that are used to create these Gaga-esque creations, I had to post some pictures of my favorite pieces. Several of these pieces were made using 3D Printing and you can see them being modeled down the runway in the side chambers of the exhibit. All of the looks ranged from whimsical to futuristic to gothic with a couple of 80’s looking pieces thrown in for good measure. So if you’re in the Atlanta area and looking for a different way to spend your weekend, walk through this exhibit and have your mind blown by Van Herpen’s stunning sartorial pieces.
