I realize that message tees are sooooooooo Britney Spears circa 2005, but bear with me here. Message tees from the days of yore (re: 90s and early aughts) are so frumpy and eye-roll worthy because they were usually worn with ill fitting denim, greasy hair, and no shoes (at least in the case of Ms. Spears). But this one, with it’s comfortable but slightly fitted cut, has a simple cheeky and chic word play that makes me giggle. You’ve gotta keep it smart, people. I paired it with a pair of lace shorts that I’ve been reaching for way to frequently this summer. The lace and the simplicity of the tee made me want to steer clear of over doing accessories. Nothing chunky or heavy (with the exception of one bracelet), but light and delicate. Things have been rather steamy outside (hence some of the photos having a haze-like quality) with the mixture of rain and seasonal heat, but this outfit keeps me light, fresh, crisp in all white, and ready for any shenanigans.
