A couple of months ago, while me and some gal pals were exploring the Beltline for the first time, we came across Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall with it’s bustling patio and charm. We were intrigued but our quest adventure kept us walking that day. A few weeks ago we decided to finally give it a more thorough assessment. We sat out on the patio overlooking the Beltline trail and had such a blast with our amazing waiter Robin (seriously, ask for him when you go, he’s just wonderful and has the best recommendations with a Swedish accent to boot). It’s one of those places where you could loose track of time, end up spending your entire day on the patio with a cocktail, biscuit, and friends and consider a day well spent.
The Wishing Well
This was probably Robin’s best recommendation; the Wishing Well. Admittedly it was the tomato in this cocktail that gave us pause, but wow was it good. I personally like a lighter cocktail with my brunch, so I’m naturally drawn to anything with bubbles. So take mine and Robin’s suggestions here, and order this cocktail no matter what time of day you find yourself at Ladybird.

Breakfast Tacos
These breakfast tacos are seriously legit. I don’t know which puts these over the top. The sauces. The spices. The choizo! In all honesty, it’s the way the three mix together with the scrambled eggs. It’s like a classic breakfast mixed with new age flare.

Honeyed?! Chicken Biscuit
I think I have a well established love affair for anything having to do with fried chicken. I was obviously intrigued by Ladybird’s offering. Buttermilk biscuit? Check. Perfectly fried chicken? Check. Doused in honey??? Yes ma’am!!! It was definitely one of the more messier brunches I have enjoyed, but enjoy it I did.
