If you’re like me, a midnight kiss on NYE isn’t exactly a foregone conclusion.  Hey, no pity party here.  I’ve got just the thing to ensure you, me, and everyone else never go without one again 😉 .  I first came across this cocktail over at the divine Love List, where the incomparable Ms. Graves can tell you more about what exactly Elderflower is.  For my purposes, I simply switched out the club soda for ginger ale, added a blackberry or two and tacked on a cheeky name for my NYE shenanigans.  The kiss comes from that cocktail soaked blackberry at the end of your libation.  Good luck keeping it to just one of these because in the words of the aformentioned Ms. Graves, “this stuff is legit”.

Midnight Kiss

Ingredients:
2 oz. Prossecco or Cava (which I just heard of and tried for the first time)
1 1/2 oz. St. Germain Elderflower liqour
2 oz. Ginger Ale
1 mint leaf
Blackberries, for garnish

Directions:
1.  In a shaker with ice mix, muddle, or stir the prossecco, liqour, and club soda
2.  In a glass gently rub the inside with the mint leaf to release the oils.  Don’t be too rough as you don’t want to bruise the leaf; discard when done
3.  Pour the cocktail and serve; add a blackberry or two for a little midnight kiss at the end of your libation
