I’ve said it several times before, but I just love stripes in the summer.  I’m just always pulled towards that nautical look.  They’re fun, and can be really flirty when styled correctly.  They look great in and out of work.  It’s just such a versatile and classic print.  I used to steer clear of horizontal stripes because of that old saying “stripes make you look fat”.  Ugh! So not true when done correctly.  Skinny stripes can actually be slimming and very flattering.  I find that the thinner the stripes, the more flattering they are.  Pair them with a little patriotic red and blue, and you’ve got a summer look that’s classic as it is cute.
