Now I don’t typically like to post on big chain restaurants that aren’t native to Atlanta, but for this I simply have to make an exception. The new Buckhead Atlanta complex is quickly becoming quite a draw for Atlanta with it’s posh shops and beautiful atmosphere. So perhaps it’s a bit surprising that the most popular attraction is a fast food burger shop, though it’s definitely at a posh level miles above it’s other contemporaries. Since it’s opening in late 2014, Shake Shack has literally had a never-ending line out the door of people who just can’t get enough of their goodness (covered in ShakeSauce, as you do). This place revivals the gourmet burger boutiques in taste and ambience that were all the rage in Atlanta only a short time ago.
The Shackburger and THE best damn fries in Atlanta
Shake Shack puts all of it’s love in it’s burgers with an authentically crafted patty consisting of Kansas City beef. Whether you get it with cheese and all the fixin’s or plain and simple, you absolutely have to try the ShackSauce on your burger. If you’re nervous, get it on the side and then you can use if on your fries as well. Speaking of the fries, these golden, crinkled fingers of perfection are THE best in the city of Atlanta. My theory is they are fried twice for twice the taste. Whatever they’re doing over there, they’re doing it better. Simple as that.
Custard Milkshakes!
alkdjfObviously, you can’t go to Shake Shack without getting a custard milkshake. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect with the milkshakes because the use of custard was a foreign concept to me. The day I went, there was a special Red Velvet Milkshake and I was completely blown away. With pieces of red velvet included, it was absolutely perfect. I think the custard makes the shake creamier than what I’m used to, and it’s definitely made me a custard convert. Now I just want to get back ASAP and try more.
