Over the last several years, I’ve pinned, clipped, and saved numerous scrumptious recipes that utilize lavender. My problem was I had no idea where you find lavender. After several unsuccessful trips to the Whole Foods stores in and around the Atlanta area, would you believe that I finally found some at the Fresh Market right down the street from my apartment. Ugh, fine. So the first item I wanted to try was this recipe for scones I came across on Pinterest. The lavender smelled amazing while the scones were baking, and tasted even better once they were ready to eat. The floral note is subtle but definitely adds a new dimension. Now that I’ve got my first attempt out of the way, it’s time to really explore what these buds can do!
