French Toast is one of the quicker and more easy of brunch foods to prepare. So let’s see if we can make this dish a little more complex, but with a pay off in the end that’s well worth the added effort. Shall we? When I first came across this recipe, I thought “Brilliant!”. And since they are sans syrup, these little delights can be served as a brunch, brinner, or appetizer finger food (The Hat Trick of food!). Because of my brief time in Italy where every breakfast food is served with a nutella filling, I tend to think of the hazelnut spread as a European treat. In any case, try this twist on a breakfast favorite, and you won’t be sorry.
